A Berry Fine Day

Rocky Acres raspberries are in abundance and they are still picking strawberries!  The blueberries hang in wonderful clumps just waiting to ripen, but everything is at least 3-4 weeks behind normal this year according to our favorite berry farmer.


Trouble in Paradise???
A warning about water quality at a beach along our lake walk.  We do not play in the water here anyway, but it reminds us how much we appreciate clean water.

Sunny - at last! Let's go to the beach!

It could be the LAST LUPINE of the season - maybe.

The apple doesn't fall far from the tree - so true on the Washburn lake trail.

A seasonal bouquet from along the trail - common tansy, clover, spotted knapweed and some "brown" weed.

Duluth and the Tall Ships

A little over an hour away, Duluth beckoned with its Tall Ship Challenge Race this morning.  The Tall Ships have been in port for a four day festival and are leaving for Chicago today.
